ABSTRACT
Abstract Through years of development, the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) has been demonstrated as a burgeoning efficient energy harvester. Plenty efforts have devoted to further improving electric output performance through material/surface optimization, ion implantation or external circuit. However, all these methods cannot break fundamental limitation brought by inevitable electrical breakdown effect, and thus density is restricted. Here, method for enhancing threshold TENGs proposed suppressing effects in high‐pressure gas environment. With that, contact‐separation mode TENG can be increased over 25 times 10 atm than that atmosphere, freestanding sliding also achieve 5 increase 6 atm. This research demonstrates excellent suppression effect environment, which may provide practical effective technological route promote TENGs.
