ABSTRACT
Activation of Ovarian Primordial Follicles by Sleep Deprivation In article number 2402393, Dongmei Lai and colleagues have observed that sleep deprivation leads to hyperactivity of adrenal glands, resulting in excessive stress hormone production which promotes the activation of ovarian primordial follicles and subsequent loss of these follicles. The illustration highlights staying up late accelerates the depletion of ovarian reserves through adrenal glands, thereby reducing reproductive longevity. [Image: see text]
