ABSTRACT
Abstract Phosphorus (P) use efficiency can be improved for banana ( Musa ssp.) crops. The recommended phosphate fertilization rates reduced, depending on the cultivated genotype. goal of this study was to identify most appropriate P fertilizer recommendation cultivar FHIA 18. applied in three production cycles were as follows: 0 (without fertilization), 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 kg ha −1 2 O 5 yr . 18 requires an application 55% (22 ) second third cultivation reach maximum growth because increased pseudostem diameter. results showed increase available soil with increasing levels fertilizers. Furthermore, content diagnostic leaves obtained 90% rate (36 ). Yield levels, reaching a value (62.93 plant lower level than that other cultivars state São Paulo, Brazil. Thus, 26 its yield.
