ABSTRACT
Abstract One limitation of current biodegradable polymeric nanoparticles is their inability to effectively encapsulate and sustainably release proteins while maintaining protein bioactivity. Here we report the engineering PLGA–polycation with a core–shell structure that act as robust vector for encapsulation delivery peptides. The optimized can load high amounts (>20 % by weight) in aqueous solution without organic solvents through electrostatic interactions simple mixing, thereby forming nanospheres seconds diameters <200 nm. relationship between nanosphere size, surface charge, composition, loading also investigated. stable complexes contain multiple nanoparticles, surrounded large protein. This study highlights novel strategy other relevant molecules.
