ABSTRACT
Abstract The cathode materials work as the host framework for both Li + diffusion and electron transport in Li‐ion batteries. property is always research focus, while less studied. Herein, we propose a unique strategy to elevate rate performance through promoting surface electric conductivity. Specifically, disordered rock‐salt phase was coherently constructed at of LiCoO 2 , conductivity by over one magnitude. It increased effective voltage ( V eff ) imposed bulk, thus driving more extraction/insertion making exhibit superior capability (154 mAh g −1 10 C), excellent cycling (93 % after 1000 cycles C). universality this confirmed another design simulation. Our findings provide new angle developing high‐rate tuning property.
