ABSTRACT
A metal-nanoparticle factory: Various metal nanoparticles with tailored optical, electronic, chemical, and magnetic properties were synthesized in vivo a size-tunable manner recombinant E. coli (see picture) through interaction the metal-binding protein metallothionein peptide phytochelatin, which was by phytochelatin synthase.
