ABSTRACT
Delivered: A solid lipid nanoparticle (SLN) system was developed to deliver microRNA-34a (miR-34a) relevant for cancer stem cell (CSC) therapy into lung tissues. In miR-34a-containing SLNs (miSLNs-34a), miR-34a is protected from degradation in the serum and its cellular-transfection efficiency vitro increased. Thus, treatment with miSLNs-34a results a higher probability of survival CSC-bearing mice (see picture).
