ABSTRACT
Abstract Covalently functionalizing mechanical exfoliated mono‐ and bilayer graphenides with λ‐iodanes led to the discovery that monolayers supported on a SiO 2 substrate are considerably more reactive than bilayers as demonstrated by statistical Raman spectroscopy/microscopy. Supported DFT calculations we show ditopic addend binding leads much stable products corresponding monotopic reactions result of lower lattice strain products. The chemical nature (graphene versus ) plays crucial role.
