ABSTRACT
Abstract Facilitating the dissociation of water and desorption hydrogen are both crucial challenges for improving evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline media. Herein, we report synthesis heterostructure Ru 2 P/WO 3 @NPC (N, P co‐doped carbon) by a simple hydrothermal using ruthenium tungsten salts as precursors, followed pyrolyzing under an Ar atmosphere. The electrocatalyst exhibits outstanding HER activity with overpotential 15 mV at current density 10 mA cm −2 excellent durability 1.0 M KOH solution, outperforming state‐of‐the‐art Pt/C most reported electrocatalysts. Experimental results combined functional calculations reveal that electron redistribution is achieved transfer from NPC to WO , which directly promotes on W sites P.
