ABSTRACT
Electrocatalytic reduction of NO3‐ is a green and sustainable method that not only helps to treat industrial pollutants in wastewater, but also produces valuable chemicals. However, the slow dynamics proton‐coupled electron transfer process results high barrier low conversion efficiency. In this work, Se‐deficient FeSe2/Fe3O4 heterojunction was synthesized, which showed excellent electrochemical performance 0.1 M nitrate reaction, superior most currently reported catalysts. The activity due synergistic effect between FeSe2 Fe3O4 achieve relay catalytic reduction. Among them, contributes deoxygenation subsequent hydrogenation, promotes H2O decomposition provide H proton, jointly promote NO3RR. Finally, online differential mass spectra (DEMS), in‐situ Raman DFT calculation confirmed optimal pathway for NO3RR NH3 on FeSe2/Fe3O4(100). This strategy catalysis provides potential way wastewater with concentration nitrate.
