ABSTRACT
Abstract Microcellular foaming of low‐ T g biodegradable and biocompatible polycaprolactone (PCL) in supercritical CO 2 has been studied. The purpose is to apply microcellular materials drug containers medical for artificial skin or bone. Effects a series variable factors on the foam structures, such as saturation temperature, pressure, time, depressurization time were experimental results indicate that, while keeping other variables unchanged, higher temperature leads reduced bulk densities different pressures result nucleation processes. In addition, profound effect structure product. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 94: 593–597,
