ABSTRACT
Abstract The main aim of this research is to decrease the amount AlCl 3 content that very corrosive and hazardous in catalytic system, required for α‐olefin oligomerization without substantial change final oil features. This was successfully achieved by supporting on different carriers. More precisely, a series supported bimetallic catalysts synthesized immobilization TiCl 4 onto Al 2 O , SiO mixed supports, is, /FeCl . It found silica alumina‐based had higher activities compared support free ; however, enhancement silica‐based supports more significant. According gel permeation chromatography (GPC) results, use single increased oligomer's molecular weight, while application resulted weight oligomers. Viscosity characteristics oligomers have also been studied at two temperatures 40 100°C (KV KV 100 ). viscosity index (VI) values, derived from prepared were range 126–145. termination mechanisms 1 H‐NMR spectroscopy. obtained results disclosed employed reaction conditions led production oligomer chains with various structures including vinylidene (Vd), di three‐substituted vinylene (2Vn, 3Vn) structures.
