ABSTRACT
Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural evolution and properties simultaneously biaxially stretched polyamide‐6/poly(ether block amide) copolymer (PA6/PEBA) films. results showed melting temperature PA6 increased from 220.02°C 225.56°C when stretching ratios 1 × 3.5 3.5, suggesting occurrence β → α crystal transformation. Meanwhile, increase crystallinity films due molecular orientation, which could create a more tortuous path for diffusion oxygen molecules through As result, barrier performance PA6/PEBA film after biaxial stretching. morphological observation that spherical or slightly ellipsoidal PEBA particles were dispersed in matrix. thermal shrinkage as increased, no significant difference between machine direction (MD) transition (TD) observed It also found tensile strength MD TD exhibited highest value at ratio about 1.7 times 2.1 higher than unstretched film, respectively.
