ABSTRACT
Abstract The current study used the melt mixing approach to create a variety of agar/SiO 2 nanoparticle (AG/Si) nanocomposites films. Silica nanoparticles were included as filler in different proportions, varying from 0% 5% (w/w). examined how composition impacted chemical properties, mechanical characteristics, thermal water vapor barrier, surface color, and antimicrobial capabilities. After addition SiO , tensile strength increased significantly 30.77 40.97 MPa at 4% . Moreover, presence was improved contact angle 53.81° 63.24°, brightness film ( L *) 70.63 ± 3.34 up 84.80 2.26, maximum degradation temperature T d max ) 315 317°C melting m 109 125°C. In meantime, following integration content, density agar dropped 1.27 1.16 kg/m 3 AG/Si effectively prevented bacterial growth extended shelf life fresh beef, suggesting novel biobased option for packaging film.
