Long-term follow-up after bariatric surgery in a national cohort

ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Lifelong medical follow-up is mandatory after bariatric surgery. The aim of this study was to assess the 5-year surgery in a nationwide cohort patients. Methods All adult obese patients who had undergone primary 2009 France were included. Data extracted from French national health insurance database. Medical (medical visits, micronutrient supplementation and blood tests) during first 5 years assessed, compared with international guidelines.
