ABSTRACT
Abstract Electrochemical energy storage is one of the critical technologies for storage, which important high‐efficiency utilization renewable and reducing carbon emissions. In addition to higher density requirements, safety also an essential factor developing electrochemical technologies. Lithium‐ion batteries (Li‐ion batteries) are commercialized as power in electric vehicles (EVs) because their advantages (such high density, long life span, etc.), while future markets, lithium–sulfur (Li–S) lithium–air (Li–air) can be promising candidates requirements. Therefore, this paper summarizes present or potential thermal hazard issues lithium (Li‐ion, Li–S, Li–air batteries). Moreover, corresponding solutions proposed further improve performance
