ABSTRACT
Ghrelin is abundantly produced in the stomach. Here, we found that glutamate decreased ghrelin expression and release ghrelin-producing cells, levels of food intake plasma acyl-ghrelin mice. Treatment with siRNA G protein-coupled receptor, family C, group 5, member B (GPRC5B) cell lines completely blocked effect glutamate-induced suppression. In addition, inhibited via extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) activity pathway, stimulated CREB2 mRNA lines. These results suggest inhibits ERK-CREB2 pathway. GPRC5B-ERK-CREB2 pathway involved inhibition secretion cells.
