ABSTRACT
Transcatheter closure of single secundum atrial defects has become the standard treatment. The purpose our study was to analyze results using a Amplatzer device for double septal defects. Such were diagnosed in 41 out 363 patients with (ASDs) closed by transcatheter method. In 39, used. size larger defect ranged from 5 18 mm, smaller 2 7 distance between borders communications ranging 12 mm. We performed sizing and only defect. mean implanted devices 16.5 +/- 5.5 equal stretched diameter main or 1-4 mm larger. rate assessed color Doppler flow examination 61% after 24 hr, 78% 1 month, 83% 3 months, 86% year, 95% years. If two exceeded residual leaks observed but tended decrease disappear time. Selected can be effectively treated implantation device.
