ABSTRACT
Concerns regarding radiation exposure and its effects during pregnancy are often quoted as an important barrier preventing many women from pursuing a career in Interventional Cardiology. Finding the true risk of performing cardiac catheterization procedures can be challenging guidelines for have been inadequate. The Women Innovations group Cardiologists with endorsement Society Cardiovascular Angiography Interventions aim to provide guidance this publication by describing pregnant physicians personnel, educate on appropriate monitoring encourage mechanisms reduce exposure. Current data do not suggest significant increased fetus laboratory thus justify precluding laboratory. However, among should properly monitored adequate safety measures still warranted.
