Key Clinical Message Bezoars can cause gastrointestinal obstruction and may require surgery. Surgery carries the risk of complications. Medical professionals should perform detailed history in diet behaviors for patients presenting with abdominal pain to identify factors bezoars, then educate these their families about risks complications bezoars. Abstract are solid masses undigested material that tract. There different types bezoars; phytobezoar, trichobezoar, pharmacobezoar, lactobezoar, bezoars containing tissue paper or polystyrene foam. This case report is a 13‐year‐old Hispanic male who suffered postsurgical complication after removal bezoar. He had past surgical appendectomy presented hospital 1‐day right lower quadrant associated fever diarrhea. X‐radiation images computed tomography scans aided diagnosis pelvic abscess as enterotomy closure remove bezoar from small bowel. The initial resulted patient staying 19 days hospital. At discharge, his guardian were advised follow up patient's primary care physician team. made an uneventful recovery. did not experience any long‐term fully recovered. demonstrates although rare, they significant tract leading need management, such surgery, which its own risks.
