ABSTRACT
Abstract The removal of pathogenic organisms from water and wastewater by electrochemical methods has gained increasing attention due to their very high efficiency, easy applicability in real world processes. In this regard there are several approaches utilizing different electrode materials accomplish the pollutant removal. This minireview highlights how electrocoagulation, direct electrooxidation indirect used remove microorganisms sources, including industrial municipal wastewater. conditions for each treatment describe material electrodes discussed. Particular is paid use boron‐doped such kind have excellent properties treatment, a wide potential window aqueous media, low capacitance extreme stability.
