Abstract Formal syntheses of racemic cis‐trikentrin A and herbindole B ((I) (II), resp.) are reported starting from the acetonide cis‐5,6‐dihydroxy‐endo‐norborn‐2‐ene with Buchwald‐Hartwig amination novel C(sp 3 )‐H amination/indole formation as key steps.
