ABSTRACT
Abstract The Climate Science for Service Partnership Brazil (CSSP‐Brazil) project provides and UK partners the opportunity to address important challenges faced by climate modeling community, including need develop subseasonal seasonal prediction projection services. This paper an overview of research conducted through CSSP‐Brazil within context a framework advance services in that includes research‐to‐services (R2S) services‐to‐research (S2R) feedback pathway. also highlights plans scientific understanding capability produce beneficial knowledge new products improve support decisions various industries Brazil. Policy‐relevant outcomes from exercises illustrated this include supporting stakeholders with information provided weeks months ahead (a) improving water management strategies human consumption, navigation, agricultural electricity production; (b) defining crop variety calendars food (c) diversifying energy production alternatives hydropower.
