ABSTRACT
Abstract Behavioural lifestyle interventions focused on diet and physical activity are a cornerstone for the treatment of obesity. However, their effects vary substantially across individuals in terms magnitude durability. Personalized approaches that target psychological well‐being may be promising to facilitate healthy behaviours sustained weight loss. This preliminary study aimed explore whether sequential combination behavioural intervention (BLI) therapy (WBT) result more favourable outcomes than BLI alone promoting loss (primary outcome) improving well‐being, distress, dietary (secondary outcomes). A total 83 patients with obesity were randomly assigned BLI/WBT ( N = 38) or group 45). The received 12‐week programme, whereas same programme followed by an additional 4‐week WBT, adapted interventions. Data collected at pretreatment (baseline, T1), end (T2), 6‐month (T3) 12‐month (T4) follow‐ups. There was significant both groups T2, T3 T4. showed greater improvements depressive symptoms T4, autonomy personal growth T4 global compared group. WBT yielded no effect secondary indicate have enduring reduce vulnerability distress In order confirm these findings intensive individualized can foster loss, future studies needed.
