ABSTRACT
In this study, a cost-effective and stable heterogeneous acidic carbocatalyst (CZnLS950) derived from Na-lignosulfonate (LS), side product of the paper industry, was employed to produce hydrocarbon fuels through pyrolysis waste cooking oil (WCO) crude natural-oil extracted sunflower seeds, aligning with principles circular economy. To enhance its practicality in industrial settings, catalyst synthesized pellet form, enabling easy separation biofuel produced during reaction. CZnLS950 exhibited remarkable catalytic efficiency WCO, resulting 71 wt. % liquid yield under mild conditions. This performance is attributed unique synthesis procedure carbocatalyst, which utilizes LS nano ZnO (20 nm) create hierarchical pore structure properties (1.1 mmol NH
