ABSTRACT
SUMMARY Certificateless public key cryptography simplifies the complex certificate management in traditional and resolves escrow problem identitybased cryptography. The certificateless signature scheme is studied widely as an important primitive. Following pioneering work done by Al‐Riyami et al. , many schemes using bilinear pairings have been proposed ever since. However, relative computation cost of pairing approximately 20 times higher than that scalar multiplication over elliptic curve group. To improve performance we propose a without pairings. With running time being reduced greatly, our more practical previous related for application. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
