ABSTRACT
Abstract Preclinical Research The objective of this work was to evaluate liposome‐containing gel formulations for the sustained, site‐specific delivery celecoxib ( CXB ). Liposomes composed phosphadtidylcholine (and various amounts cholesterol C h) were prepared using thin film hydration and characterized encapsulation efficiency, vesicle size, drug‐excipient interaction differential scanning calorimetry F ourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy. selected liposome formulation incorporated in different formulations: h ratio affected efficiency drug, by increasing Ch up until 1:1 increased. Further resulted decreasing efficiency. In vitro drug release skin permeation studies showed sustained enhanced compared with containing free drug. rat paw edema test, anti‐inflammatory activity liposomal higher more that nonliposomal These results suggest gels are promising .
