ABSTRACT
Abstract Trans ‐palmitoleic acid ( trans ‐9 C16:1, or ‐C16:1 n‐7, TPA) is typically found in ruminant‐derived foods (milk and meat). Of note, previous epidemiological studies associated high levels of circulating TPA with a lower risk type 2 diabetes metabolic syndrome humans. At the current time, intakes humans are ensured by foods. However, due to very low commercial availability TPA, there no supplementation carried out so far. Therefore, ability for dietary prevent has never been experimentally assessed. Here, method (among others) get dozens grams pure as ethyl ester, perform dedicated studies, reported. For that purpose, it starts from food sources containing amounts cis CPA), dealing fatty acids esters all along experiment. CPA purified flash liquid chromatography, then submitted / isomerization step. Finally, separated low‐temperature crystallization methanol. The final product fully characterized 1 H 13 C nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry. It possible produce ≈70 g 85%‐purity suitable nutritional studies. Practical Applications : synthesized may serve (or nutritional) aiming at unravelling its physiological impacts suggested work. Depending on amount acid, one carry rodents even
