ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Our aim was to evaluate the correlation between radiation doses parotid gland (PG) stem cells and xerostomia. Methods Patients diagnosed with head neck cancer (HNC) were retrospectively evaluated, xerostomia inventory (XI) applied these patients. PG delineated on treatment planning CT, mean calculated. Results The total test score bilateral PGs significantly correlated ( r = .34, P .001), cell niches .32, .002). Conclusions In this study, we found that dose can predict dry mouth as much PG.
