ABSTRACT
Experiments undertaken to investigate the binding of epidermal growth factor by hepatocyte nuclei showed that: (a) isolated from both normal and regenerating rat liver are capable 125I-epidermal factor, (b) nuclear factor-binding protein is similar in molecular weight plasma membrane receptor, (c) monoclonal antibodies produced against receptor recognize (d) has an affinity for comparable that but fewer (approximately 10%) receptors available per unit compared with membrane.
