ABSTRACT
The nature of joint attention (JA) engagement 32 sibling pairs ( M age older = 55.21 months; younger 19.60 months) was assessed in a free play context. Relations among JA states, both siblings' age, temperament, and language, theory mind were explored. frequency coordinated related to features temperament the siblings (emotionality) (activity level sociability). Younger significantly JA, whereas correlated with passive engagement. Implications regarding role partner characteristics young interactions will be discussed.
