ABSTRACT
Comprehensive functional genome annotation is crucial to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of agronomic traits in livestock, yet systematic sheep lacking. Here, we generated 92 transcriptomic and epigenomic data sets from nine major tissues, along with whole-genome 2357 individuals across 29 breeds worldwide, 4006 phenotypic related tail fat weight. We constructed first multi-tissue epigenome atlas terms elements, chromatin states, their functions explored utility elements interpreting variation during domestication improvement. Particularly, identified a total 753,723 nonredundant over 60% being novel. found tissue-specific promoters enhancers sensory abilities immune response that were highly enriched genomic regions influenced by domestication, while
