ABSTRACT
Abstract The intravascular or transcutaneous application of photobiomodulation (PBM) over blood vessels (vascular photobiomodulation, VPBM) has been used for the treatment inflammatory and chronic conditions with promising systemic results. This study evaluated VPBM effects on a model muscle regeneration after acute injury compared outcomes preventive therapeutic VPBM. Transcutaneous was administered rat's main tail vein. Serum levels creatine kinase (CK), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactate were muscles processed macroscopic microscopic analysis. Preventive led to decreased infiltrate, edema, myonecrosis but an increase in immature fibers. CK, AST, lower groups treated (lowest concentrations application). capable exerting positive effect repair, more accentuated results when administered.
