ABSTRACT
It is known that anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of the knee joint prone to injuries with poor healing potential. The capacity a tissue-like ACL dependent on its structural components and properties stem cells (SCs). Therefore, this study aimed characterize structure tissue SCs derived from components. The rabbit was determined using scanning electron microscope, hematoxylin eosin, immunohistochemical staining. biological were studied by colony formation, cell proliferation assay, SC marker expression collagen exhibition, multidifferentiation potential. The two distinct are classified as sheath core, which possess differential in terms type, organization, presence blood vessels. contains vascular core ligamentous SCs, respectively. types differ clonogenicity, proliferation, potential. This shows consists tissues, contain distinctive properties. These findings highlight need for use both promote repair complex injured ACL.
