ABSTRACT
Inflammation is a contributing factor in osteocyte apoptosis, which strongly associated with the development of glucocorticoid-associated osteonecrosis femoral head (GA-ONFH). Curcumin naturally derived drug that regulates immunity and inhibits inflammation. This study aimed to examine capacity curcumin prevent apoptosis GA-ONFH, while elucidating possible mechanisms action. C57/BL6 female mice were divided into control, curcumin-treated GA-ONFH groups. We determined effect on polarization RAW264.7 MLO-Y4 cells. found reduced infiltration M1-type macrophages heads alleviated systemic inflammation models. Additionally, decreased osteocytes ratio mice. Further, vitro intervention inhibited via Janus kinase1/2-signal transducer activator transcription protein1 (JAK1/2-STAT1) pathway. Taken together, this demonstrates effective preventing mouse model. prevents inflammatory-mediated part through inhibition M1 JAK1/2-STAT1 These findings provide novel insights as well potential preventive agent for GA-ONFH. article protected by copyright.
