ABSTRACT
Abstract Well‐defined cyclic ‐polymers ( ‐PAzoMMAs), bearing side‐chain phenylazo naphthalene chromophore, were successfully synthesized by the combination of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and copper(I)‐catalyzed azide/alkyne cycloaddition “click” reaction, as verified GPC, 1 H NMR, FTIR, MALDI‐TOF mass spectrometry. The ‐PAzoMMA showed higher glass transition temperatures than linear with same molecular weight. Interestingly, exhibited deeper modulation depth (M.D.) induced SRG, larger value photoinduced birefringence, increased fluorescence emission, longer lifetime in comparison its counterpart.
