ABSTRACT
In this paper, we develop a new type of band-reject filter, which provides the practical usefulness of dielectric-supported air-gapped microstriplines. The filter is composed of a signal line of 10-μm height in order to reduce the substrate dielectric loss and a post of size 20 × 20 μm2 that supports the signal line. The fabricated band- reject filter has a measured reject band of 46.6 dB at 45 GHz and a pass band of 1.7 dB at 60 GHz. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
