ABSTRACT
Abstract A hybrid microstrip‐to‐coplanar waveguide (CPW) based broadside coupled ultra‐wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) of compact nature with multiple transmission zeros (TZ) is proposed. The CPW in ground consists a short circuited mode resonator (MMR), which conjugation two microstrip lines on the top, arranged back‐to‐back manner. Initially, impedance ratio MMR adjusted to place its resonant modes quasi‐equally within UWB passband and later dimensions are optimized enhance coupling. setup generates reduced insertion loss, small group delay TZ. presence TZs provide sharp roll‐offs at either edges wide stopband. experimental BPF fabricated measured data validated against simulation results. proposed structure measures 14.6 × 9.6 mm 2 .
