Abstract A miniaturized rat‐race coupler with ultra‐wide band harmonic suppression is proposed in this letter. Anti‐parallel lines open stubs are applied substitution for the conventional quarter‐wavelength transmission lines. The structure provides an excellent property a reduced size comparing types. operates at 2.5 GHz up to 17.5 as measured. amplitude imbalance and phase 0.017 dB 0.018°, respectively.
