ABSTRACT
Abstract In this article, we present an enhanced broadband common‐mode (CM) noise filter based on periodic electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structures with transmission lines. The unit‐cell of the proposed is composed a mushroom‐like resonator and We developed lumped circuit model lines to enable analysis using Bloch‐Floquet theorem. dispersion relations derived from theorem have CM suppression characteristics respect various parameters. Although optimizing period EBGs by line length widens stop band, impedance mismatching between causes differential‐mode (DM) insertion loss. solved problem adjusting characteristic DM signals EBG. then built prototype measured its performance. frequency range 20‐dB band was be 5.3‐9.74 GHz. loss < 3 dB DC 10
