ABSTRACT
Abstract In this article, we present for the first time possibility of modal phase velocity compensation in differentially fed directional couplers designed inhomogeneous dielectric media. It is shown that an appropriate, structure, equalization even‐ and odd‐mode velocities propagating such can be made. The presented method has been verified experimentally by design measurements a fabricated coupler to show correctness applicability proposed solution. A 8‐dB as edgewise structure operating at 1 GHz center frequency.
