ABSTRACT
Abstract In recent years, there has been a large amount of attention focused on the design filtering antennas to reduce front‐end size modern wireless communication systems. Although numerous approaches are presented in literature, they usually applicable certain microwave circuit structure. Additionally, their implementations demand extra matching circuits or structure which leads an increase antenna size. this paper, 3rd‐order operating at X‐band frequencies is utilizing coupling matrix approach. It based 3rd order coupled‐resonators filter without employing any For physical configuration, three inline coupled rectangular waveguide cavity resonators TE 101 mode employed. The output last resonator free space via aperture. dimensions aperture manipulated control radiation quality factor ( Q r ). To validate simulated results, fabricated using Computer Numerical Control technique. Excellent agreement between simulation and measurement results obtained. fractional bandwidth (FBW) more than 10% when reflection coefficient S 11 = −20 dB. gain response very flat (7.54 0.2 dBi) from 9.5 10.5 GHz. proposed compact low profile may be interest radar applications.
