ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective The aim of this study was an assessment post hoc associations among circadian rhythm parameters, physical activity (PA), and cardiometabolic risk factors in adults with obesity prediabetes after 3 years weight loss maintenance. Methods Circadian parameters (continuous wrist‐temperature measurements), PA, systolic diastolic blood pressure (SBP, DBP), heart rate (HR), plasma high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C), low‐density cholesterol, remnant triacylglycerol, C‐reactive protein (CRP) concentrations were determined 91 free‐living participants (mean [SD], age = 56.6 [10] years; BMI 28.2 [4.0]; homeostatic model insulin resistance [HOMA‐IR] 3.2 [3.1]) 38 sedentary respiration chamber conditions (age 28.5 HOMA‐IR 3.3 [1.4]). Associations PA using factor analyses followed by Pearson correlations. Results Values similar, whereas differed significantly ( p < 0.05) between conditions. In both conditions, indicating a robust associated inversely CRP positively HDL‐C concentrations. SBP HR parameters. mediated the inverse association Conclusions prediabetes, were, independently lower CRP. Only higher stability SBP.
