ABSTRACT
Abstract Hypoglossal nerve stimulation has become an increasingly popular treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. Some patients express concerns about the appearance of anterior chest incision scar. Here, we describe feasibility lateral axillary approach placing fifth‐generation implantable pulse generator, which does not require a respiratory sensor. The first three were successfully implanted, had excellent waveforms, and no complications. surgical times substantially different than implanting fourth‐generation or device through standard incision.
