ABSTRACT
Abstract Drugs that are poorly soluble in water difficult to absorb orally, resulting low bioavailability. Flurbiprofen (FLU) is an arylpropionic acid nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drug belonging BCS class II, with solubility. In this study, a novel flurbiprofen‐ethylenediamine salt (FLU‐EDA) was successfully prepared via solvent crystallization. Its crystal structure determined single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (SXRD). Further, the physicochemical properties of FLU‐EDA were characterized by powder (PXRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR). The solubility intrinsic dissolution rate (IDR) investigated. results showed compared FLU, IDR increased 57‐fold 32‐fold, respectively. This indicates can significantly enhance flurbiprofen water. study provides basic data theory for development new formulations flurbiprofen.
