Colorectal cancer liver metastases (CRCLM) that present with a replacement histopathological growth pattern (HGP) are resistant to neoadjuvant anti-angiogenic therapy. Surrogate biomarkers not available preoperatively identify patients these tumors. Here we differentially expressed genes between CRCLM HGP and those desmoplastic using RNA sequencing. We demonstrate LOXL4 is transcriptionally upregulated in compared the adjacent normal liver.
