ABSTRACT
Abstract The purpose of this article is to determine the structure γ‐glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (γ‐GPS) on glass fiber surfaces. interfacial adhesion fiber–polymer can be improved by silane treatment fiber. To change composition and regenerate hydroxyl groups, activation pretreatment heat cleaned woven fabric was performed using a 10% (v/v) hydrochloric acid aqueous solution for different durations before treatment. silanization activated fibers with were conducted at various time intervals. These would used quantify relationship between contact angle surface shear strength interface. effect interaction coupling agent examined Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. experiments, in conjunction electron photomicrographs surfaces treated agent, are interpreted an attempt explain stability agent‐glass interfaces. From SEM analysis, it clearly observed that agglomerations cavities among available. However, case not fibers. In addition, measurements evaluate structure. POLYM.
