ABSTRACT
Magnetorheological elastomers (MRE) are mainly composed of soft magnetic particles and rubber‐like matrix. Previous studies have shown that the matrix has a greater impact on mechanical properties MRE. In this article, new kind polyurethane material was fabricated used as The effect several factors MRE samples experimentally studied, such fabrication condition, content iron particles, different weight ratio castor oil diphenylmethane diisocyanate, plasticizer. Their microstructures were observed, measured using testing system in presence an external field. experimental results demonstrate these shear storage modulus, magneto‐induced MR damping property. addition, property is also higher than based other This study can hopefully be applied to optimize POLYM.
