ABSTRACT
Culture influences patients' beliefs and behaviors toward health illness. As the U.S. population becomes more diverse, a critical need exists for pharmacy education to incorporate patient-centered culturally sensitive care knowledge skills into curriculum. Nursing was first profession this type of learning training its curriculums, followed by medicine. Pharmacy has also made great progress revise but inconsistency in depth, breadth, methods across colleges. This article addresses important aspects such as curriculum development, incorporation educational innovations techniques teaching from didactic experiential learning, assessment tools, global education. A preliminary model with objectives examples is proposed. Future directions education, scholarship, postgraduate licensure, continuing are presented.
