Adolescent academic achievement: A model of social support and grit

ABSTRACT
Abstract Grit has been defined as passionate perseverance toward long‐term challenging goals and it is associated with various positive outcomes for youth, including academic achievement. However, less known about these associations the two facets of grit (i.e., effort, consistency interest) few studies have examined link between perceived social support. The present study group‐level demographic differences gender, grade, socioeconomic status, special education status) in a high school sample ( N = 1,077).
